Star Rejects Anti-Vaxxer Stance Following Voicing Disputed Coronavirus Feature

The acclaimed actor has lent his narration to a new documentary that challenges the efficacy of vaccinations and commends former cabinet secretary Robert F Kennedy Jr.

The Film's Contentious Foundation

Called "Plague of Corruption," the film is inspired by a bestselling book published by Judy Mikovits, who became famous during the global outbreak for claims that the virus was linked to a bad strain of the flu vaccine.

The publication's writing partner, Kent Heckenlively, has previously authored books with conspiracy-prone media personality a known commentator. The producer recently posted hailing Neeson's participation in the project.

An Unequivocal Statement

The team of Liam Neeson have released a statement firmly refuting suggestions that he subscribes to anti-vaccine beliefs.

"Many recognize that corruption might be present within the drug industry, but that should never be confused with being against vaccines," the statement explains. "He never has been, and remains not, anti-vaccination. His extensive work with the UN children's agency reinforces his enduring support for worldwide vaccination initiatives."

The response continued that the actor did not shape the documentary's editorial content and that inquiries about its claims are best addressed to the producers.

Key Assertions In the Film

In the film, the script provided by Neeson features several provocative claims:

  • It claims that pro-immunization voices have insisted on "complete compliance" to health authorities.
  • It declares that "science has become deeply influenced by politics."
  • RFK Jr is shown saying, "The core flaw with vaccines is that they are not adequately tested."
  • The narration also criticizes pandemic restrictions, claiming they caused psychological harm that cost thousands of lives.
  • Regarding the immunizations, it references a view that they were "hurriedly approved" and seen as "dangerous experiments."

Previous Context and Ongoing Issues

It further cites a historical film about HIV drug testing on children, which was later the topic of a BBC apology by the broadcaster for unbalanced reporting.

Last month, the political figure instructed the Centers for Disease Control to alter its official position that there is no link between immunizations and autism spectrum disorder. This claim is echoed in the film, even with a recent study from the global health body stating no evidence has been found.

A Previous Record of Endorsement

Differing from the film's tone, Neeson has formerly shown clear advocacy for vaccines in his position as a charity ambassador.

In 2022, he called vaccines as "an extraordinary triumph," stating that "The conversation about vaccines in lately has lost sight of how much positive impact they have done... It is perhaps one of the biggest human endeavors in our history."

The documentary concludes with Neeson's script stating, "This is not the conclusion of our story. Rather, it is the start of a fresh chapter."
